What is the Career Test?
Our Career Test is a brief questionnaire about your preferences, interests and skills. On completion, you’ll receive a personalised, in-depth report featuring tailored recommendations to help you uncover your ideal career path.

The report includes recommended career options (based on your interests and skills), data and statistics to see how you compare to other students, and valuable insights and resources to help you prepare for your future career.

Who is the Career Test for?
The Career Test is for any student aged 15-18 who is keen to start planning for their future. It’s designed to help young people prepare effectively for university applications and future careers.
How does it work?
The Career Test is a short questionnaire which takes approximately five minutes to complete. You’ll be asked 20 questions about you, your interests and your professional ambitions.
What are the core metrics?
Your answers will be compared to the seven key metrics of career success:

i) Clarity: How clear are you about your future career?
ii) Confidence: How confident are you in your skills?
iii) Courses: Have you taken any relevant courses?
iv) Experience: How much work experience do you have?
v) News: Do you keep on top of current affairs?
vi) Reading: How much reading have you done about your career?
vii) Support: Do you have supportive role models?

Our Career Test covers more than 250 careers across a range of industries and professions to provide you with the best recommendations for your future.
How do I get my results?

Once you’ve completed the short questionnaire, your answers will be analysed and a personalised report will be automatically generated, tailored to your unique responses.

Why is the test free?

At Oxford Scholastica, our mission is to help students seize the future. We want all young people to fulfil their potential and one of the ways we do this is by providing free resources.

We also run an Oxford summer school, as well as online courses and virtual internships. If you’d like to sign up for one of these programmes, we’d be very pleased to welcome you. However, these are optional and the Career Test is free of charge.
