Your Questions,
Answered.

What is a typical day like?
We want you to make the most of your time in Oxford, so you’ll have a packed schedule while you’re with us. Your days will be filled with inspirational academic sessions, enriching cultural experiences and a variety of social activities.
What activities are available to unwind and relax?
We have a variety of afternoon and evening activities to help you relax after a long day of learning, from formal visits to watch an outdoor Shakespeare play to casual games of football and rounders.
How much free time will I get?
We know you’ll want to have some free time to explore Oxford, get to know your new friends or just relax in your room, so you’ll get a couple of hours for lunch each day. The weekend is more relaxed, although there are still optional activities running which you can choose to take part in.
When do we have to go to bed?
Students are asked to be in their own rooms by 10:30pm and have lights out at 11pm. This will enable you to get enough rest for the next day ahead.
What are the arrangements for food?
We provide breakfast and dinner. A continental breakfast is provided at the accommodation and we eat dinner as a group at local restaurants. At lunchtime, our students have the opportunity to explore Oxford, where there are lots of varied, affordable and healthy lunch options.
Does everyone have lunch at the same time?
Yes! This means you can meet up with your friends on different courses for lunch.
I would like to study for four weeks. Will the schedule be different for the first and second fortnights?
You’re very welcome to join us for four weeks. While there will be some parts of the programme which are the same, you’ll get to choose a second course to study for your second two weeks. This means you’ll attend new classes, choose different masterclasses, experience different trips and make new friends.

We’ll sit down with you at the end of your first course to discuss what you’d like to do in your second two weeks (e.g. whether you’d like to participate in some of the activities again or whether you’d prefer to do something different).

What happens at the end of the programme?
Your summer with us will come to a close at our Graduation Ceremony. You’ll graduate alongside your peers, celebrate with your friends and family, and dance the night away at our ceilidh event!
