The Oxford Scholastica Approach

At Oxford Scholastica, pastoral care goes beyond supervision. We have a close-knit, friendly team who are passionate about supporting and inspiring students. Our mentors don’t just oversee your experience; they guide, encourage and help you make the most of your time
with us.

Meet Our Activities Coordinators

Our Activities Coordinators provide essential support and guidance to our students.
They engage and inspire, ensuring everyone has a summer they won’t soon forget.

Smriti Pahari

Activities Coordinator

Smriti studied Law at Worcester College, University of Oxford and recently completed her final year. She is about to start her solicitor training with Slaughter and May. She is passionate about travelling and is looking forward to visiting Spain, Nepal, Thailand and Brazil in the next year.

Gabriel Locke

Activities Coordinator

Gabe studied History at the University of Bristol, and is currently completing a Masters Degree in African Studies at St Antony’s College at Oxford University. He has spent previous summers working for UKAID projects in Zambia, and has also helped out on lots of summer activity camps in the UK for teenagers.

Lily Green

Activities Coordinator

Lily moved from Singapore to study History at Brasenose College, University of Oxford. When she graduates she is planning to complete her PGCE in secondary education. In her spare time, Lily takes part in Oxford Student Drama as a costume designer and plays netball for her college.

Meet Our Matrons

Our Matrons play a key role in ensuring students are well cared for during the summer school. They oversee both students’ basic medical welfare and their overall experience.

Ana Moniz

Matron

Ana has been a house parent in boarding schools since 2013 and finds the role incredibly rewarding. Passionate about supporting children’s development and growth, she believes in the importance of motivating, caring for and encouraging them. Ana values the opportunity to make a positive impact in her role and is dedicated to nurturing young people.

Pascha Gibbon

Matron

Pascha previously worked as a Matron at St Edward’s boarding school in Oxford, caring for hundreds of teenagers aged 13–18, so there’s little she doesn’t know about supporting young people. She leads our pastoral care and is always available for a chat. Fun fact: her husband once played football for Pelé’s team!

Tessa De Cordova

Matron

Tessa is a Matron at Harrow Hong Kong and flies over each summer to join us in Oxford, a city she knows well having been Head Matron at the Dragon School and Summer Fields in the city. As well as being a housemistress at Downe House school, she has also worked internationally.

We Help Students Seize the Future

Our immersive programmes give young people with big dreams the opportunity to get a true understanding of their career path.
